We Want Your Submissions!

Interested in submitting something to Dispatches? I accept and encourage submissions of any kind: essays, fiction, poetry, opinion, photos, videos, letters to the editor, etc.

Note that all submissions will be reviewed, and while it is the purpose of this site to be a community website with published content from our Milton neighbors, not all will be published. I retain full editorial control of the content, and do so in order to create a curated site.

Submission guidelines are as follows (note that these guidelines are subject to change and will be formalized over time):

• Written content should be clean and polished.
• Political opinion content must be civil. No personal attacks will be published.
• All publications must be submitted under your real name. Exceptions may include fiction or poetry if you use a pen name.
• I will not publish content I have reason to believe is defamatory. You are fully responsible for the factual content of your submissions.
• No sensitive or confidential personally identifiable information about a third party (e.g., phone number, tax information, etc.) will be published.
• Video must be hosted on a separate site (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo), but may be embedded on this site.
• Photos and videos may not include images of children unless I receive the express written consent of a parent or guardian to publish such images.
• I may stagger publication over time; if you submit something to me on July 1, I may not publish until September.
• Content that is lewd or obscene will not be published.

I will inform you of any decision not to publish your content, and the reason(s) why. If I do publish your content, I will let you know the anticipated publication date.
